The Centrepiece House
)
Residential
This home was designed around the idea that each space can be a standout, while other areas align and respond to it—creating a home that is both interactive and engaging.
Designed for a young couple who love hosting, guests are greeted by a spacious living area that flows seamlessly into the dining room. Here, a double-volume space and a feature chandelier suspended over six meters establish a striking centerpiece, while a suar wood dining table anchors social gatherings. The open kitchen and island connect effortlessly with the living and dining areas, supporting occasional cooking without interrupting the flow of the home.
At the rear, a hidden bar and reading nook provides a contrasting, intimate space. Themed wallpaper, custom cabinetry, and display fridges make this room feel like a private retreat, yet it can also open up to extend the main social area.
Upstairs, private zones include a home office, a guest/future children’s room, and a large master bedroom—all designed to complement the social heart of the house without competing with it.
In this home, the philosophy of interactive and considered design ensures that each room feels significant on its own, yet contributes to a cohesive, dynamic experience throughout.
